My counselling approach is based on a humanistic philosophy, incorporating a variety of theoretical orientations. My work is primarily grounded in person centered, gestalt and existential therapies. My approach values the whole person; body, thoughts, feelings and emotions.
I believe the relationship between a client and their counsellor is the cornerstone of what therapy is about. A relationship should be built on honesty and trust in a confidential and safe space.
I personally attend regular supervision and personal counselling which ensures I am fully prepared to deliver my counselling services. I also abide by the ICAP Code of Ethics for Counsellors.
